It's absolutely the best burger I've had in a while. I have no idea how you'd eat a double cheeseburger. The regular one is huge! Portions are extremely generous, and the service is friendly and prompt. The root beer shake is really good, too! Highly recommended if you're in the Soo.

We had seen this nice little mom and pop place when we were looking for something for lunch. The food was really good. The downfall of the burgers tho, they are kind of a mess. Just harder to eat in a truck. If we had sat down it would have not been a problem at all. The fries were great and its a bag full. Definitely two or three could eat them and be fine for sure. We wanna try some more of their food. We was happy with what we ate so Definitely can see everything els being good.

Sometimes the smallest out of the way places have the best food. The burger was juicy, cooked perfect. You know they use quality ground meat because they do not add seasoning to the meat and it tasted delicious. The hot sub was loaded with steak. Fry order is huge. We shared 1 and could not finish. As for the view of the lock, well I didnt see it. I saw the river but could not see the lock. If a cargo ship would have went by you would have seen it but one did not when we were there. Cash only!!! Highly recommend this place.

Was in Sault Ste Marie during lunch hrs. Asked a local at a gas station where was a good place to eat. They didn't hesitate... West Pier Dr In. We go there all the time. It's a small place and you pull up and a friendly employee comes out to your car window and takes your order. Menu was simple and was on a plain white piece of paper. The double bacon cheeseburger was $14.50 fries $4.00. I asked... how big is that burger for $14? Reply... two half pound patties. Wow, I got the single and my friend had to get the double. I also got the fries. The bag of fries was so big that's all I could eat. They were hot, large crinkle cut and very good. The burger is being saved for when I am hungry. My buddy ate the double and he said every bite was very good. He was full after the burger. If I was a betting man I'd say that their shakes and other stuff is all quality. Might not ever get back to Sault Ste Marie but if I do... I'll bring a bigger appetite and be sure to stop by. You should too.

What a great little place. You can sit and watch the Freighters while you eat. The food is absolutely delicious, very reasonably priced and the portions are huge! The ladies that work here are so friendly and patient. They come right out to your car to take your order. We got a cheeseburger, walleye fingers, French fries and mozzarella sticks. The burger was very well seasoned and the patty was thick. The walleye fingers are very good. Their crinkle cut fries were crispy and delicious. Mozzarella sticks had a great pull which the kids loved. Highly recommend eating here. Please note it is CASH ONLY.

We have a Bacon Burger, Mushroom Burger, Fried Cauliflower, Onion Rings, and a pop. All for $31 plus a great tip for the local youth who come to your car to take the order. West Pier is the biggest, most sumptuous hamburger you will find for the price. If you come away with a clean shirt, it wasn't West Pier. Trolls dream about eating here. Plus you get all the Soo Boat Lock entertainment right along with the new lock construction. If you are lucky, one of the freighters will order takeout and you get to watch the car hops climb the fence to meet them with their food.

WOW These burgers are really good! This was our first time to West Pier Drive-In and we loved it. The location feels really cool and the carhops were great! We had two cheeseburgers made to order and we split a very generous portion of onion rings. The burger is huge and delicious. It has lots of condiments. It is a messy and delicious They have a very good selection of other choices also. I would highly recommend trying this place! It might be my new favorite!

Having tried the burgers at both West Pier and Clyde’s, I have to say West Pier comes out on top. Their meat has a bit more flavor and really stands out. After tasting so many great burgers across the country, maybe my standards are a little high, but for this area, West Pier’s burger is definitely impressive.
